When to Visit Dubai: Climate and Seasons
Best Time to Visit Dubai
When planning a trip to the UAE, especially Dubai, it’s essential to consider the climate.
This megacity lies in a dry subtropical zone, where both temperature and humidity can vary greatly by season. To make your trip comfortable, choose the right month based on your goals — beach vacation, sightseeing, or shopping.
Here’s a quick seasonal weather guide for Dubai:
November – March: Ideal Season
This is peak tourist season. Daytime temperatures range from +24 to +28°C, and nights stay around +18°C. Rain is rare. It’s the perfect time for beach days, city walks, safaris, and excursions. Hotels book up quickly, so early reservations are recommended.
April & October: Warm Shoulder Season
Still comfortable, but warmer — around +30 to +35°C during the day. A great choice if you want to save on accommodation while avoiding the extreme summer heat.
May – September: Hot Season
Dubai summer is intense. Daytime highs reach +40 to +45°C with high humidity. Even nights stay very warm. However, this period offers huge discounts on hotels and attractions. Shopping and indoor activities in air-conditioned spaces become the main focus.
Stay Cool on the Road
Especially during the hotter months, an air-conditioned rental car is the absolute best way to travel comfortably between your hotel, malls, and attractions. Just remember to arrange your International Driving Permit (IDP) beforehand to easily pick up your vehicle at the airport.
