Who does not need an International Driving Permit?
Who can drive without an International Driving Permit?
To fulfill our obligation to provide information to our clients, we confirm that, in accordance with the provisions of the Vienna and Geneva Conventions on Road Traffic, having an International Driving Permit (IDP), also known as an international driver’s license, in addition to a valid national driver’s license, is a mandatory requirement for driving abroad.
An IDP is required for most drivers planning a temporary stay abroad as tourists. It is necessary when renting a car, undergoing police checks, or in case of traffic accidents. It is especially important to use official international permits issued through organizations accredited by the IFA (International Federation of Autotourism).
